Converted from new Combi during 2004/5.

Camper is fitted with REIMO Variotec sliding seat providing excellent flexibility of configuration plus a small amount of storage below, levelling ramps, power leads etc. will fit in here.

All 'Camper' furniture is fitted along the right side of the vehicle affording maximum utilisation floor space both for camping, travelling and use as a utility vehicle.

The seat unit can be locked in any one of four positions allowing for comfortable passenger transport and spacious living. Rear upholstery matches the original Volkswagen pattern of the front seats which are both fitted with armrests.

Seat belts are provided which can be used in either of the two forward locations of the seat.

If necessary the whole seat unit will lift out to provide full floor accessibility.

The seat is equipped with provision for adjustable table top which is stored in a recess in the sliding door.

For sleeping the conventional 'rock and roll' hinges allow the seat to become a bed in one easy movement. The additional length being provided by two fully upholstered lift out sections. This makes a comfortable double bed with plenty of standing space at the front.

Curtains, you will notice that there are no curtains visible in some of  the pictures, that is because they were taken before the curtain rail was fitted. As a personal preference the curtain over the sliding door is longer than normal to provide privacy when the door id open on camp sites in hot climates. The front curtains are fitted to a single length of rail fitted al around the cab from 'B' post to 'B' post.

All inner walls are soft trimmed as is the high roof which is also partly double insulated. Roof ventilation is by double glazed Zeitz opening windows with integral blinds and mosquito nets.

Kitchen facilities comprise SMEV two burner cooker, grill and sink, Electrolux 4213 3 way fridge. Gas being supplied from either of two Camping GAZ cylinders stored in a metal cabinet accessible via the right sliding door.

Ample storage is provided by front and rear roof lockers, cupboard below cooker and chest to the rear of the cooker accessed by a hinged lid. Wardrobe space is in the rear right corner with oddments space behind with hinged door. The space below the rear of the bed is accessible from the rear without disturbing the bed sections. This space has tie-down chrome loops to secure loads.

240v / 12v Electrical system controlled by Plug in Systems PMS3V/H control unit charging either camping or vehicle battery from the rear mounted external 240v input connector. This unit also provides fusing and isolation of all camper electrical circuits. Twin 13amp sockets and twin 12v sockets are provided for connection of accessories.

Interior lighting fed form the auxiliary battery comprises two single fluorescent fittings above the work surface and one double fitting in the roof. In addition there are two adjustable spot lights above the rear seat / bed.

Heating is supplemented by Eberspacher Diesel blown air heater drawing its fuel from the vehicle tank and controlled from the rear of the vehicle by digital timer / temperature control.
